Hi All, I attempted to fish the Yakima yesterday. Water is very low, moving slow, and very clear. Temperature was 28 degrees. Standing out in the middle of the river thinking this is the day. Wrong! I started developing ice balls on all my eyelets so I couldn't feed line. Then my reel froze up solid.
Is there a trick to this winter fly fishing, or is this when you take up staying home and watching football? I couldn't help but notice that I was the ONLY one on the river.
