I just learned the trip I am going to in 2 months has three open spots today, The trip is from Feb. 13-20 and through Fly Water Travel, Att: Shannon Baily, 541-631-7040. The lodge has air conditioning and all meals are included in the base fee except booze and gratuities. Base cost for this trip is $2994, double occupancy. Allow an additional $2,000 to cover airfare and lodging, one night, in Honolulu and travel to Kiribati via Fiji Air. This is the very best value on the planet today for saltwater fly fishing. I was there in 2016 and landed huge bonefish, a 40 lb. Giant Trevally, trigger fish and many other species. They just opened up the island this past winter after a 2 year closing due to COVID. Reports are that the bonefish are HUGE. What I really enjoy is hunting these fish on miles of coral reefs.
