If you are just beginning in the sport or want a tune-up, this is the class for you!
On a space available basis, the class is open to Northwest Fly Angler club members and the general public. 20 people is the maximum size of the class that can be accommodated. Signup is through the NFA website.
If the parking lot (see map below) is full, there is usually parking available on the streets to the north.
Bring weather-appropriate clothing, your rod, reel, and floating line with a leader with 0x or 1x tippet. For those people who do not have fly fishing gear, some loaner gear will be provided.
We don't use flies with hooks in the class. Instead we'll use about an inch of yarn (provided) tied to the end of your leader to provide proper action.
Please wear eye protection. Your standard glasses or sunglasses are fine.
