Lake Ballinger is a freshwater lake with a surface area of 103 acres located on the county line between Snohomish and King, just west of I-5. Lake Ballinger is bordered by the cities of Mountlake Terrace to the east and Edmonds to the west. It is fed primarily by Hall Creek, but is also fed by groundwater flowing from nearby Echo Lake as well as by surface runoff. The lake has a maximum depth of 35 feet and an average depth of 15 feet. Near the center of the lake is Edmount Island, a three-acre peat island.
Fishing opportunities include stocked Rainbow Trout and resident Coastal Cutthroat Trout, Largemouth Bass, and Yellow Perch. Black Crappie and Bullhead Catfish are also present. Two pole fishing is allowed. A boat ramp, parking, toilets, and a fishing pier are available on the northeast shore at Lake Ballinger Park (City of Mountlake Terrace).
