Volunteer with NFA & Forterra on the Cedar River

Spend a lovely morning on the river with us on Saturday, November 19th, spreading mulch and planting a forest of native shrubs and trees. What better way to spend your morning than by getting your hands dirty, convening with nature and doing something great for your community and the environment!

Who: All ages are welcome to volunteer with us! Please bring a signed youth waiver if you are under the age of 18 and volunteering without a guardian present. Youth under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

What to bring: Dress for the weather and wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes that can get muddy. Bring a reusable water bottle and a coffee mug if you have them – we’ll fill them! Snacks will be provided, but be sure to bring a sack lunch.

Where: Cedar Grove Natural Area 18573-18803 SE Renton Maple Valley Rd Renton, WA 98058 Parking is limited for this event so please carpool if you can! There is no parking lot for this location and drivers will need to park along the north side of the Maple Valley Highway
