An intermediate fly-tying class is being offered to NFA members. It will be taught by NFA members. You will learn to tie eight northwest fly patterns, as well as receiving personal instruction on common fly tying skills using your fly- tying tools. Materials for the flies will be furnished by NFA. There will be four classes. Here is a list of tying tools that students need to bring:

  • Bobbin
  • Bobbin threader
  • Bodkin
  • Hackle pliers
  • Vise
  • Scissors
  • Dubbing twister
  • Whip finisher (optional)
  • Tying Lamp (optional)

Get the best vise (pedestal or C-clamp) and scissors you can afford. For more information or questions, email Vance Thompson at alexavance@mac.com or  David Williams at dpwlaw@gmail.com.
