Fishing the salt from the beach is one of the fastest growing facets of fly fishing because Puget Sound is blessed with so many miles of beach and so many willing fish. This year the NFA will meet on Camano Island for our annual saltwater outing. Utsalady Bay will be the place where we will fish for feisty resident coho salmon, sea-run cutthroat and maybe a late pink. There is no outing fee, do bring some snacks for while you're out. Depending on the size of the group we can grill after, burgers, brats and veggies or what ever.  We do have a house and boat on the beach so I can take small groups to near by beaches as
sea-runs move a lot. 

WHAT TO BRING: 

• Washington saltwater fishing license and a catch card.
• PFD is always recommended for wading and riding in boats.
• Six or seven-weight rod. 
• Reel with at least 50 yards of backing. 
• Weight-forward floating line with nine-foot two or three-X leader. 
• Extra leaders or leader material (0 to 3-X sizes).
• Pink flies include: cerise comet, size 4, pink woolly bugger, size 4, pink flashabou comet, size 4, Clousers and poppers too.
• Vest, hat and glasses (with strap) 
• Stripping basket (if you have one) .
• Camera in waterproof container.
• Water bottle, drinks, a cooler and fridge are available.
• Snacks in Ziplock bag in your vest. 
• Sun screen and Rain Gear, it is Western WA.
• We have lots chairs for sitting around at lunch.
• Pad and pencil for note taking.
  

HOW & WHEN TO GET THERE 

• High tides are at approximately 8:00 and 8:00.
• Directions will be provided to registered attendees prior to the outing, I'd like to meet with everyone a week before we go to find out what folks would like to do, time, fishing and food.
