Our steering committee meetings are held using Zoom. The meetings begin at 7:00PM, generally last until 9:00PM and are open to club officers, committee members and invited guests. To receive an invitation contact the NFA president.

Membership Meeting (April 16, 2026)

Our meetings are held at the Haller Lake Community Club, 12579 Densmore Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98133.

The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. with introductions and announcements of new members. We then present an educational program featuring a guest speaker, usually a fishing guide, NFA member, or conservationist, who discusses an aspect of fly fishing. We then hear fishing reports and cover the business of the meeting. The meeting usually concludes around 9 p.m.

Guests: If you are not a member, please introduce yourself and sign in at the membership table near the door. You'll get a name tag, a free raffle ticket, and additional information about the club.

NFA Fly-Fishing Swap Meet (April 16, 2026)

Everyone is invited to attend the Northwest Fly Anglers (NFA) April fly-fishing swap meet, where you can buy what you need and sell what you no longer use. A variety of fly-fishing gear, fly-tying materials, and other fly-fishing items will be available. This event replaces NFA's regular club meeting in April.

Buying Items?

Free to attend, no registration needed.
Open to NFA members and non-members.
All sales are buyer beware.
There is no ATM available. Venmo, Square, or cash is preferred for payments.

Only fly-fishing items are allowed for sale.

Conservation Outing at Miller Park (April 25, 2026)

Time again to join NFA members for a forest restoration workparty in Burien at Miller Park.

NFA worked in this park March 14 and several other times in past years. Let’s see the results of the ongoing work and help out. The activities will most likely be removing invasive plants, cleaning up, and/or planting natives.

2026 NFA Annual Picnic (July 23, 2026)

The Annual NFA Picnic will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park in Shoreline. The park is located at 2021 NW 190th Street, Shoreline. Please note that the picnic replaces our July meeting.

The club will provide hamburgers, hotdogs, and brats, along with a vegetarian option (Impossible Burgers). Members should bring a potluck dish. If your last name begins with:

A-H, bring appetizers
I-Q, bring side dishes
R-Z, bring desserts

The club will provide iced tea and lemonade. If you want something else to drink, bring a non-alcoholic beverage. Food and fun start at 6. There will be plenty of opportunities to socialize. Bring the whole family and friends.

Holiday Party and Auction (December 06, 2026)

The annual NFA Holiday Party and Auction will be held on December 6th at the Haller Lake Community Center. This is the club's primary social and fundraising event. Proceeds support the club's operations and activities throughout the year.

Please invite family and friends to come to the party. You can make your reservations and buy raffle tickets on line at the club’s website. This year's dinner will be a pot-luck and the party takes the place of our December meeting.

Members should bring a potluck item.
If your last name begins with:

A-H, bring main dishes
I-Q, bring desserts
R-Z, bring appetizers or side dishes

The club will furnish a non-alcoholic punch. If you want something else to drink, you may bring anything else. Food and fun begin at 5. There will be lots of opportunity to socialize. Bring the whole family and friends.

Get your name tag, raffle tickets, and bidder card at the check-in table. (Or purchase your raffle tickets in advance when you register for the event online.) Proceed to the raffle tables and put your tickets in the raffle boxes (raffle tables close at 7:00). Also check out the items in the silent auction area. Don’t forget the bake sale table. Silent auction and bake sale bids are made by writing your bidder number and bid amount down on the sheet with each item. Note the rules concerning minimum starting bids and each additional bid.

The Awards Ceremony begins at 7:00 with the President’s Opening Remarks, followed by the Service and Merit Awards. Following the ceremony there will be short break leaving enough time for a last minute bid at the Silent Auction tables.
